Storm Archery Sued by SOP Services and Bear Archery for Patent Infringement and Contract Breach

 

Evansville, Indiana – Patent attorneys for SOP Services, Inc. of Las Vegas, NV, and Bear Archery, Inc. of Evansville, IN, filed a patent infringement suit alleging Storm Archery, LLC of Auburn, IN, infringed the following patents issued by the U.S. Patent Office: Patent No. 5,368,006, titled DUAL-FEED SINGLE-CAM COMPOUND BOW; Patent No. 5,791,322, titled DUAL-FEED SINGLE-CAM COMPOUND BOW; Patent No. 5,890,480, titled DUAL-FEED SINGLE-CAM COMPOUND BOW; and Patent No. RE 39,880, titled DUAL-FEED SINGLE-CAM COMPOUND BOW.

The defendant entered into a license agreement with one of the plaintiffs, but allegedly failed to make the required royalty payment. Citing pages from the defendant’s Web site, the complaint claims that, after termination of the license, the defendant continues to manufacture, use, sell, and offer to sell compound bows and components embodying inventions claimed in the patents-in-suit.

This case has been assigned to Chief Judge Richard L. Young and Magistrate Judge William G. Hussmann in the Southern District of Indiana, and assigned case no. 3:10-cv-00086-RLY-WGH.Complaint – SOP v. Storm
