Taylor Shaye Designs LLC Takes On Shein Distribution Corp in Copyright Infringement Suit

Prairieville, LA – Plaintiff Taylor Shaye Designs LLC filed a complaint against Whitestown, IN Defendant Shein Distribution Corp for copyright infringement according to the U.S. Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 101, et seq.

According to Court documents, the Plaintiff is a jewelry designer with a copyrighted earring design called, “Let’s Go Girls,” (Reg. No. VA 2-318-693).  The Plaintiff alleges that the Defendant is an online fast fashion retailer that has copied the “Let’s Go Girls” design and is selling it on its website.

Along with a fine of statutory damages and attorneys’ fees, the Plaintiff has asked the court for an order preventing the Defendant from further manufacturing or selling the alleged infringing product.

The case has been assigned to Judge Sarah Evans Barker and Magistrate Judge Tim A. Barker, in the U.S. District Court of Southern Indiana, and assigned Case No. 1:23-cv-00624-SEB-TAB.
